I oftentimes see people talking about “the best side hustles to start” — But I rarely see them going over side hustles to avoid.

… Not all side hustles are a great idea and what worked well for other people might not necessarily work well for you.

That is why within this article I want to go over 5 side hustles that are a bad idea and will probably lose you money or a lot of time.

Dropshipping

With this business model, you order a product from a supplier once someone bought it from your shop — Sounds good right? No risk?

Well not exactly. Most Dropshipping products only pay you $20 per sale after all expenses.

With that, you need to make an enormous amount of sales to make good money. To do that you need to run paid ads and to get paid ads profitable for dropshipping is very difficult.

You have to deal with low-profit margins and a constant fear of getting your ad account shut down. (Ad networks usually don’t like Dropshippers)

Etsy Physical Products

Similarly to Dropshipping, selling physical products on Etsy also has its challenges.
